Rate Schedules & Tariff Analysis
UGI's C&I gas charges are split between a regulated distribution component (Customer Charge + volumetric or demand-based Distribution Charge) set by the PA PUC, and a commodity supply component that customers can shop under PA Choice. The March 29, 2026 increase (Supplement No. 62) raised commercial distribution ~6.4% and industrial ~6.3%. Verified $ are limited to the published bill-impact example; per-unit charges should be read from the tariff book.

Limitations & Considerations
- ⚠No public developer REST API; programmatic access is via EDI or portal export only.
- ⚠Green Button (DMD/CMD) participation is not publicly confirmed — verify ESPI support with UGI.
- ⚠Interval data is limited to interval-capable meters as AMR deployment proceeds; most residential gas accounts have monthly data only.
- ⚠Bills must generally be downloaded individually (no bulk 'export all bills' function).
- ⚠Supply (commodity) rates under PA Choice vary by supplier and are not set by UGI; only distribution charges are tariffed.
UGI Utilities Data Access FAQ
How does a C&I customer download multiple accounts' usage from UGI?▾
Log in to the Online Account Center, add each account number via the account selector, then export monthly usage to Excel (up to 36 months) from the Usage module for each account. Large transportation customers can also pull daily volumes from the Transportation Customer Portal.
Can a consultant or aggregator get my UGI data programmatically?▾
There is no public REST API. Suppliers and aggregators receive data via EDI (867/810) under PA Choice, or a consultant can submit a signed customer authorization to UGI to receive 24-36 months of historical usage and billing (5-10 business days).
Does UGI offer interval data for commercial accounts?▾
Interval data is available where interval-capable meters are installed (15/30/60-minute, meter-dependent) and through the Transportation Portal as daily volumes for large C&I. Confirm your meter's capability with UGI before planning interval-based analysis.
What rate schedules apply to UGI commercial and industrial gas customers?▾
Non-residential firm sales/delivery is under Rate N, while larger delivery customers take Rate DS (Delivery Service), Rate LFD (Large Firm Delivery), or Rate XD. Distribution charges are set in UGI Gas Service Tariff No. 7; commodity supply can be shopped under PA Choice.
How do I keep my UGI usage data from being shared with suppliers?▾
Submit the Restrict Your Account Information form (online, mail, or 800-276-2722). Once processed (~10-15 business days), your account and usage data are no longer shared with third-party suppliers.
