Rate Schedules & Tariff Analysis

PECO's C&I customers face a two-part bill: regulated distribution charges (set by the PA PUC) plus competitively-supplied or default generation. The distribution schedules differentiate by voltage and size — GS for secondary-voltage commercial loads, PD for primary-voltage loads (generally over 100 kW), and HT for the largest high-tension industrial customers. Demand charges dominate the bill for mid-to-large accounts, making load-factor and peak management the primary cost levers.

PECO Energy Company Rate Schedule List

ScheduleApplicability
Rate GS - General ServiceCommercial/industrial secondary-voltage service
Rate PD - Primary-Distribution PowerCommercial/industrial primary-voltage, generally over 100 kW
Rate HT - High-Tension PowerLargest C&I loads at high tension
Rate GC - Gas General Service C&ICommercial/industrial natural gas distribution

PECO Energy Company Rate Features & TOU Details

  • Distribution-only regulated rates; generation via PA Power Switch competitive market or PECO default supply
  • Rate GS demand charge $11.35/kW with billing-demand floor of 40% of contract demand above 500 kW
  • Voltage-tiered structure: GS (secondary), PD (primary), HT (high tension) with transformer-ownership thresholds
  • Semi-annual supply adjustment updates (June 1 / December 1) via Generation Supply Adjustment
  • Procurement Class 3/4 (large) customers also billed PJM reliability/capacity charges
